PERI ORAL REJUVENATION
This is a very popular treatment. Peri oral lines are the small lines that appear around the border of the lips (also referred to as smokers lines). A fine filler is placed in and around the lip area, smoothing the fine lines and rejuvenating the overall appearance of the lip and restoring youthfulness. Typically lasts 6-12 months

How to Prepare
If you have an active coldsores we will be unable to treat. If you are prone to coldsores please get in touch to discuss your options.

Please avoid alcohol for 48 hours prior to treatment. (alcohol thins the blood which would increase the risk of bleeding and bruising)

Please do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen for 24 hours prior to your appointment unless prescribed by your doctor. Please discuss with your Nurse in more detail (these are blood thinners and would increase the risk of bleeding and bruising).

We will apply topical local anaesthetic cream to numb the area before treatment.
Aftercare Advice
Directly post treatment:

Avoid all makeup, particularly makeup brushes and sponges, foundation and any lipstick or lip glosses, this is to prevent infection.

Apply a cold compress a few hours post treatment to reduce swelling.

Keep hydrated, drink lots of water.

Take 2 paracetamol prior to going to bed (if no allergies to it).

Avoid exercise for 48 hours

Please avoid alcohol.

Antihistamines can help reduce swelling if it persists but please contact us if you have any concerns.

Next 14 days

It takes 2-4 weeks for the fillers to fully integrate into the lip tissue.
Post treatment please avoid:

Sunbeds, even with the facial tanners turned off and your lips covered DO NOT USE THEM!

Saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and steamy bathrooms.

Lying in direct sunlight/heat.
-
Hot drinks, allow to cool for 10 minutes.
